The Biology of Belief was published in 2008 and noted for its groundbreaking work in the field of new biology. Once in a while you have to read something that you think is not worth it to open your mind for new ideas that may turn out to be worth it after all. That is why I started reading this book. I expected some more of the law of attraction stuff. Some of the most powerful external signals that influence the health of our cells are the energetic messages which emanate from our thoughts. For decades, genetic determinism— that is, the idea that our genes are fixed, immutable, and outside of our conscious control -- was the prevailing view of the scientific community.
