About this deal

The sides of the case are polished, and consistent throughout the sides of the bracelet. This makes for a watch that is somewhat subdued but definitely has some sparkle.

I can’t say I’m entirely surprised, as this is my third Orient watch, and all of them have had superb case finishing, especially for the low price of these affordable watches. The Alpha Daytona Paul Newman is yet another homage heavily influenced by the original Paul Newman ‘Panda’ Daytona. I’d argue it’s the best Paul Newman Daytona homage on the market. The watch is powered by a Seiko solar quartz movement. It charges under direct light and has a power reserve of up to 6 months You’re getting a mecha-quartz movement which is a mechanical and quartz hybrid that keeps excellent time but still has the smooth second-hand sweep of a mechanical watch. I think for anyone with a 6 3/4″ wrist and above, the watch will most likely suit you very well. Or if you have smaller wrists and just prefer larger watches, that’ll be fine too.

Omega is well-known for its incredibly stylish and suave collection of timepieces and it has yet to disappoint in this regard. It’s a pretty awesome movement, and considering the price is about the same as the Neo70s, you do need to decide what you value more. Do you prefer the beautiful aesthetics and unique design of the Orient Panda? Or do you prefer to have a watch with a fully mechanical movement? PROS df = pd . DataFrame ({ 'col1' : [ 1 , 2 ], ... 'col2' : [ 0.5 , 0.75 ]}, ... index = [ 'row1' , 'row2' ]) >>> df col1 col2 row1 1 0.50 row2 2 0.75 >>> df . to_dict () {'col1': {'row1': 1, 'row2': 2}, 'col2': {'row1': 0.5, 'row2': 0.75}} When considering different options for the best budget panda chronograph, there were a few that kept popping up in my search.

It has a very 70’s flair, with a modern twist and sizing, that makes it perfect for the new-retro watch lover. Well, well Orient have revived their 'solar' watch line. IIRC it's been several years since Orient had a solar powered model in their line-up. I see the Chrono-Mako is 42.8 mm dia, has 22mm lugs so it slots in between the current Kamasu (41.9 mm) and the Triton II (43.4 mm). It’s built completely in-house from Orient (aside from the possibility of the ‘Orient’ Solar movement actually being a Seiko movement, but we aren’t certain about that). This Classic and Simple Style models feature a day and night display with sun and moon design showing the passing of time with a sun and moon disk that rotates once every 24-hours.
