About this deal

The first of my secret London walks is in Hampstead. This is one of my favorite north London neighborhoods, and its village atmosphere makes it a great area for walks. This cool, lesser-known section of the Capital Ring offers a mix of urban and green spaces, taking walkers through interesting residential streets, commons, and notable landmarks. After passing under a railway bridge, you’ll enter Canbury Gardens, a great spot for relaxation and refreshments. My self-guided London walk in Islington will lead you through the vibrant Camden Passage Market, into pretty squares, and down side streets full of heritage details. This secret London walk will lead you through Greenwich and show you heritage buildings, picture-pretty side streets, and one of the best views of London.

This walk is ideal if you’re into heritage architecture and great food. There are excellent coffee shops along the way, too.Conclude your journey at Radnor Gardens, where you can relax, visit a cafe, and consider continuing your walk towards Kew Bridge! This canal walk goes past everything from the colorful boats in Little Venice to the buzzing stalls in Camden Market. It even goes through the London Zoo in Regent’s Park. Join the Thames Path as it passes Eel Pie Island, home of Ted Lasso fame and historic music legends. My self-guided London walk in Clerkenwell reveals everything from narrow passageways to centuries-old stone arches. It will take you through one of the most historic markets in central London, too.

If you’re interested in taking this walk, you can find the route, pictures, map, and video on my Richmond walk blog post. This is one of the most beautiful hidden walks in London, with wooded areas, incredible greenery, posh park paths, great architecture, and creepy cemetery vibes. This is a simply beautiful stretch of Regent’s Canal. Best at sunrise or twilight, when the sun reflects on the water and all the houseboats are illuminated.I hope you enjoy playing around with it and that it helps you discover new-to-you areas of the UK capital.

As you approach the river’s edge, you’ll join the Thames Path National Trail, then turn right on Odessa Street.

MIND THE GAP

Follow the Thames Path, enjoying open views of the Thames and passing by Hampton Court Park and Golf Course.

Finish at Wimbledon Park Station: The section concludes at Wimbledon Park station on the District Line.Start at Hampton Court (nearest tube: Hampton Court Station): begin at the iconic National Trail, starting from Hampton Court to Radnor Gardens. Meet the route at the north end of the Hampton Court Bridge. Walk with the river on your right and admire the Hampton Court Bridge and the palace. This leafy, waterside section of the Thames is lovely even when it’s spitting rain. You’ll meander around and over the rivers and canals, passing posh high streets, historic pubs, manors and mansions.
