About this deal

This is a great LED torch to have if you spend a lot of time out in the wild, particularly in winter, as it works in temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius and as an IPX5 waterproof rating. This product comes with an 18 month warranty and also excellent customer service from Anker, who are a trusted name in this business. Some people might say that Anker printed the information in this way to intentionally mislead consumers. I have no evidence of this. However, I see this as a major problem. Use only the provided battery, or one of the same type with circuit protection from a reputable manufacturer. I feel it performs best in wide zoom to flood an area with light, although you do suffer from that dull spot in the middle of the beam.

The flashlight memorizes the last lighting mode used. When the flashlight is turned on next time, it will activate the last lighting mode you selected. However, I do not think that a run to 10% is a fair measurement for consumers. Instead, I believe the runtime measurement should represent the amount of time it takes for a flashlight to drop from 100% to 75%. However, I’ve suggested that the FL1 standard be modified to reflect the time it takes to drop from 100% to 50%. If you are looking for a rechargeable tactical flashlight, the Streamlight Strion LED HL. It is more expensive, but it is a solid torch that is truly useable in tactical situations. I’ve used several as a police officer – both on a duty belt and mounted to an AR rifle. They offer a lot of performance for the money. The ANSI/PLATO FL1 flashlight standard is exacting both in how flashlight performance is to be tested and how that information is displayed to consumers. I immediately observed that the impact resistance rating appeared to be out of compliance with the standard. With a brightness rating of 900 lumens, this little bad boy can light up a wide arc around you or be focused into a beam that can shine for miles (not literally, but around 150-200 metres and still be bright).

If that sounds like you, then take a look at our next best LED torch review: – the Anker LC90 model. Before I get going here’s a good unboxing. The guys slow and the clip starts best where I’ve put you. Also, might want to turn your volume down 😀 : If I hold the Anker LC90 to the 50% standard I’ve proposed, the flashlight would have a runtime of less than 2 minutes. The Anker LC90 LED Flashlight is going to be a go-to piece of kit on any one of these trips… and many more scenarios too! They also used to eat through batteries like Pacman on power pills, and so weren’t really all that useful unless you shelled out for a pricey top of the range torch or carried around a load of spare batteries. Having to remove the end cap to charge is pretty annoying for me as it means this cant be left on charge and used as a grab it and go emergency light. Of course, the ideal solution would be a way to program the light to only activate at the high output level when using the momentary switch. This would prevent all problems. For a light marketed as a tactical light, this seems to be a no-brainer. But, Anker is not a company that appears to be familiar with the needs of law enforcement, military and armed citizens.

The Two-Cell Bolder LC90 goes mostly unchanged from the original LC90, but most of the changes that were made I’m not in love with. The same switch is also responsible for rotating sequentially through the five different modes: high, medium, low, strobe and a Morse code SOS. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the brightest setting is 1,300 lumens (which gives it a visibility range of 1,200 feet). This was the highest lumen measurement of any of the flashlights we tested. It goes without saying, but you don’t want to look directly at this light.Constructed with premium materials, the Anker LC90 ensures reliability and durability over time. Its compact size and ergonomic design make it comfortable to hold and use. The torch also features a sturdy build, ensuring it can withstand rugged outdoor conditions. This model is called a 3D torch because it takes three D-type batteries to power it, but that gives it an incredibly long running time before you have to change them, from 16 hours on high mode to an amazing 117 hours on eco mode.

And it’s not just on the outside where the quality lies, inside this outstanding LED torch are little features like a gold plated conduction spring, and an overcharge prevention circuit to keep it running perfectly for years to come. Below we have highlighted a few of these aspects so you can better make up your own mind about which model suits you. Lumen measurement SUPER-BRIGHT: 900-lumen (max) Cree LED sweeps bright light over the length of about two football fields (660 ft / 200 m) and reaches nearly 1000 ft. Fully zoomable from wide to narrow beam. Features 5 adaptable settings: High / Medium / Low / Strobe / SOS. Do not stare directly into the beam or shine it directly into anyone's face. Doing so for more than a few seconds could cause retinal damage. If you were making the LC90 longer via two 18650 you can see in an effort to shorten they took the decision to use the same method as the LC40 of merging caps and sealing. My guess is this shaved some cost, weight, length. Given the trade-offs here I can see why and agree with what Anker have done. It is also academic as I would not buy the new LC90 anyway, the older one is just fine for my needs, and I own 3 of them. LONG-LASTING: Up to 6 hours (Medium-beam mode) of powerful, non-diminishing brightness from the included premium rechargeable 3350mAh battery. LEDs boast an extended 50000-hour lifespan. Recharge in 6 hours with a 1A adapter (not included) and the included USB cable. There are also frequently asked questions, a product. This manual comes under the category. Web the anker bolder lc40 flashlight is an inexpensive, durable flashlight that’s perfect for occasional or everyday use. Bolder Yang Ada Di Kapal. The light source of this flashlight is not replaceable; when the light source reaches the end of its life, the whole flashlight needs to be replaced.
