About this deal

Sadly, there were many parts of this book that I felt took itself too seriously and parts where claims were presented as facts. The House In The Woods jumps between the past and the present as Evie’s backstory is slowly revealed. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item.

Maybe it’s just meant for a younger audience perhaps or the action starts in the next scenes but I just had to put it down. This was an entertaining book but, Atticus Priest is a mix of Cormoran Strike, some Harry Hole and, some Sherlock Holmes for good measure. Before I even realised it, he appeared before me in what felt like the most magnificent and august manner allowable. The sins of the past have a very long and strong reach right into the present and the author has done a fantastic job of creating a story that will leave you guessing until the last possible minute whilst taking you on a journey of many unexpected twists and turns. A cleverly plotted murder mystery full of tension and suspense - you won't be able to put this Mark Dawson thriller down!Quickly dubbed "The Christmas Eve Massacre" by the media, these murders were originally believed to have been a murder-suicide committed by a volatile brother of the deceased family.

A chance meeting with Evie at an event sees a small connection rekindled which is only built upon when Evie has her accident and needs someone to look after her whilst she recuperates. Stranger Things meets Point Horror in the first of a brilliant new series for readers aged 11+ from Yvette Fielding, British television's first lady of the paranormal and presenter of Most Haunted . In the early years she partied hard, burning the candles at both ends as she tried to forget her past but it would never let her be.Whilst I thought this book would be suspenseful, eerie and chilling (which it very much was), it also made me feel heartbroken at parts which I wasn’t expecting.

Both books were fast-paced, mesmerizing tales of obsession and betrayal with two deeply flawed protagonists. Atticus is a great new PI, with a messy, disorganized personal life but brilliantly clever at his job. The paranormal show is still going strong today, and undeniably, Fielding has made a mark on the study of all things spooky. This book had everything, court procedures, thorough investigations, character development all in one go.
