Kate has been using the MZ-Switch to try out heart rate training for her next half marathon race – keep your eyes peeled for her article about it later in the month. I do like this app, but there does seem to be an issue with it when workouts completed via the myzone console at my local gym, and writing them to Apple Health. Get in the zone and make it count, with a social platform and gamification to keep you feeling good, inside and out. Once you’re set up on the app, make sure you allow notifications to receive details of the monthly challenges and to confirm your participation.

If you grant permission, we will save your activity calories, height, weight, BMI, BMR and body fat data to Apple Health. I like that I can compare workout-to-workout, month-to-month, and year-to-year what my output is/was. The MZ3's in-built memory means you can make every session count even when you're training away from your gym and it's not convenient to carry your smartphone.

A coloured light on the face let me know what heartrate zone I was in, while the app records in-depth details that I could study afterwards. On the screen you will have a dedicated tile that shows your nickname, calories burnt, current heart rate in beats per minute, Myzone Effort Points and in the center, a% of your maximum effort.The MZ-Switch combines an ECG sensor with a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to create the world's first interchangeable heart rate monitor for the gym, outdoors or in water. Undesirable childhood experiences of becoming hot and breathless led to avoiding cardio activities throughout my life. The belt is great but the black part has started to occasionally cut into me leaving scars which I have to pad (for protection) before each workout until they heal again. Wireless upload and live streaming of exercise data to smart phones and hubs within MYZONE enabled facilities. I have on 3 occasions received an AI reply that my zone will attend to my complaint within 12 hours, 24 hours and 3 days.

Shortly after that the app will wrote this workout to Apple Health, and my watch will usually alert to say I’ve complete exercise and move goals for the day. The shame of it all is that this app could be EPIC for motivation, for community and for people feeling that fitness is a happy part of their lives. The belt also talks to 3rd party apps and devices providing you with a motivating and rewarding workout experience.I became a huge fan of the concept and brand, inviting everyone I knew (and even those I didn't) to get on board, setting challenges and gaining MEPs. The only workout that day was a myzone console workout and the calories for that alone exceeded the move goal. I don't always put it on if I decide to do a quick core or yoga or pilates session, but I do use for my longer cardio/strength stacked workouts. I have the photos of the sign-in sheet and log shows I was wearing device and trying to get it to stay on. Instantly tells you which zone you’re in when worn on the wrist, thanks to the flashing indicator light.
