About this deal

The Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet offers a way to skip the paste, instead using a thermally conductive graphene sheet you cut to size and place on the CPU die. I want to share with you my experiences with the Thermal Grizzly Kryosheet, a graphen thermal pad in combination with a Watercool Heatkiller V waterblock.

Credit is provided by Novuna Personal Finance, a trading style of Mitsubishi HC Capital (UK) PLC, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. I watched a video and it seems comparable to the Kryonaut , just 1-2c warmer so I don’t believe it’s going to be better in that term. Use of these and any missed payments may affect your ability to obtain credit from Klarna and other lenders. So all I did was just put kapton tape all around the die and PCB outside of the substrate, applied just enough so that it wouldn't have any chance of spilling oveer, even if the deck went to through some vibrations, had to do some reapplies due to copper absorption issues, but the temps have now been perfectly stable for 3 months and has not gotten worse. These graphene thermal pads can be used as an excellent alternative for thermal compounds from the higher performance segment. Compared to Carbonaut pads, KryoSheet as a high-end product offers significantly higher thermal conductivity. Don't know about that, but there is a direct heat dispersion comparison between using either Paste and these new Kyrosheets.

I also used TG-PP10 under the Poseidons' larger monoblock heatsink which covers some IC's and the RAM, tested with a thermal probe before/after, and RAM temps are lower as well. After cleaning the contact surface (CPU, CPU cooler, GPU, GPU cooler), the KryoSheet is simply positioned on the processor or graphics chip to be cooled before the cooler is mounted. I wonder if the performance would improve or worsen if you aplied some silicone oil on it, it would help to hold it in place. So, not too long ago, my CPU started showing signs that the thermal paste may have dried out too much.In addition to applications in industry, for example when building servers, this is also an advantage for domestic PC construction or in the OEM sector. Can somebody please explain how in God's name Honeywell's PTM 7950 or 7958 is supposed to outperform EVGA Kingpins KPx or Thermal Grizzly Kyonaut Extreme? Thermal pastes generally uses suspended particles which can impede surface contact between the CPU and heatsink which is the best/most ideal path for heat transfer (IMHO, this is why LM performs so well; it allows almost perfect surface contact). A few years ago, Thermal Grizzly released Carbonaut which was a tiny carbon sheet with the idea it could replace paste. It is very convenient that I live close to Germany, they can just send me a letter with this stuff cheaply and quickly.

The Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet series of graphene thermal pads can be used as an excellent alternative to thermal compounds in the high-performance segment. What matters more is how well it cools, if it's easy to apply, etc, which is exactly what I'll be looking at in this review. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. KryoSheet contains no liquid components and is therefore not subject to normal ageing as is the case with traditional thermal pastes. This 29mm x 25mm edition thermal pad is designed for use with a range of devices such as CPUs, GPUs, active cooling systems and much more.

The problem with Carbonaut was that it's cooling transfer performance wasn't up to the standards of a high quality paste. If you’ve been putting off a cleaning of the internals of your system because you are worried you might need to pop off your heatsink and reapply thermal paste after scrubbing your cooler then check out this review at TechPowerUp.
