About this deal

Roads, bridleways, canal paths, deep muddy puddles – all these conditions and more were thrown at them, along with some aggressive riding, and the R1s haven't put a foot wrong yet. This enables you to convert your bike to a hydraulic disc brake using the normal STI / Ergo levers (short pull levers). It is about 25% lighter than actual TRP HY/RD, which is famous as a lightweight Cable Actuated Hydraulic Disc Brake. The brakes were put through their paces on some of the most gruelling descents you would every try to ride a cyclocross bike.

New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . The points do not expire, and can be used to top up your cash payment, or to purchase products outright. Performance wise, i didn't really have anything to compare them too aside from my other bike which are fully mechanical disc brakes. Juin Tech advise using 160mm rotors, and I've been satisfied with the performance of the lightweight Ashima Ai2 rotors I'm running. Had to adjust them for pad wear for the first time this weekend which involved turning the adjuster wheel which is just below the bare cable in the picture of the rear brake above so fairly easy, but I believe Trp Hy/Rd adjust themselves so a minus point there. The GT-F are compatible with Shimano and SRAM too though, and I can imagine would be an attractive proposition for anyone looking to port their high-end Di2 or eTAP groupset to a new disc brake frame. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. We received a sample set towards the end of 2015 and have been riding them through the goop of a (very) wet British winter. This allows you to use your normal sti/ergo levers on a disc brake bike without the expense of upgrading everything to accommodate a full hydraulic set up.

All was well; on wet descents they scrubbed off speed smoothly and noticeably quicker than my rim brakes on carbon rims. The pistons actuate in a parallel motion unlike the one sided movement of a mechanical disc brake and at approx. Please contact us if you require a faster service as we can upgrade to fast courier service for an additional fee. Their sales page on their facebook has them for around 100GBP, may be able to import them directly and hope customs doesn’t care.We previously tested Juin Tech's R1 brakes (you can read the review here) so were keen to take a look at their latest offering.

In the nice green box you get the two calipers, a pair of 160mm discs, pair of adapter mounts and the mounting bolts for everything.

No had a chance to test it yet but just applying it in the garden nd it seemed to be a bit sharper than the Hayes, hopefuly I’ll get the rear fitted tomorrow and use them at the weekend. It can be achieved in less than 30mins and completely avoids the hassle of bleeding hoses, recabling STI levers or similar issues. The F1 is the latest addition to the Juin Tech stable, sold as a set including mounting bolts, adaptors and rotors.
