This Belgian beer has gastronomic qualities and can be drunk as an aperitif, to accompany a dessert or simply as an outstanding real ale. Cherry Chouffe brings all the joy and taste of a Chouffe together with the fruitiness of the cherry. Ingredients • Water, organic malted barley, organic malted wheat, organic cane sugar, organic cherry concentrate, organic cherry extract, organic hops, yeast, carbon dioxide. Using fresh cherries – handpicked a cherry’s throw away from our brewery – this limited release celebrates local Scottish produce.

Founded by two brothers-in-law in 1982 in a dilapidated cowshed, is based in the Belgian Ardennes, although they have moved out of the cowshed. Timmermans Kriek is one of the classic cherry lambics with an amazing almondy aftertaste that gives it a dry palatability. This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries.The Slaapmutske is an old school brown cherry beer that has a distinctive oak aftertaste due to its maturation process, that takes place in oak barrels. Further ageing and refermentation has drawn out a beautiful colour and complexity of cherry fruit, almond and oak flavours.

Offering, cherry beer, strawberry beer, raspberry beer, peach beer, coconut beer, and a whole host of even more fancy fruit concoctions, we have something for everyone here at The Belgian Beer Company. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! We have matured this cherry beer in oak casks for three months resulting in a beer that is accented with a delicious balance of ripe cherry sweetness, hints of oak, and a refreshing tart finish.The smooth distinctive character of the matured beer serves as the perfect counterpoint to the pure organic fruit juice. What makes it incredibly special is not the place where it’s crafted, but the interesting mixture of US and Slovenian hops used to brew a lambic and the delicious cherries that contribute to making this amazing dark bitter.

For this beer, cherries are then added to give the beer a pleasant and full fruity sweetness that offsets the sour base before a pleasing and refreshing tart finish.
